Hello and welcome to Storytime for grownups. I'm Faith Moore, and this is Summer Session.

During season one, we read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. From now until September, we'll be

exploring Jane Eyre in once-a-week episodes, which will drop on Mondays, sort of like a college

class, only fun. If this doesn't sound like your thing,

don't worry. Storytime will be back with a new book in September. But for now,

brew a pot of tea, find a cozy chair, and settle in. This is the second summer session episode that we are doing so far.

I want to thank you so much for all the

letters that you sent me. I got so many nice letters saying people were all in for summer

session that they enjoyed the first episode and that they would stick around. So I'm so happy to

hear that and I'm so glad that you're here with me today. And if you're listening on the day that

This is a podcast where we read classic literature chapter by chapter with a few notes along the way,

but we are currently in summer session, which means we're not actually reading a book. We are

discussing the book that we just read, which is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. We're spending

this summer, exploring the book, kind of wandering around in it,

talking to the characters a little bit more and living in that world just a little bit more.

So if Jane Eyre is a book that you know and love, stick around with us. It's going to be
