Hello and welcome to Storytime for grownups. I'm Faith Moore, and this is Summer Session.

During season one, we read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. From now until September, we'll be

exploring Jane Eyre in once-a-week episodes, which will drop on Mondays, sort of like a college

class, only fun. If this doesn't sound like your thing,

don't worry. Storytime will be back with a new book in September. But for now,

brew a pot of tea, find a cozy chair, and settle in. Class is in session. Hello, welcome back. I'm so happy to be with you. I miss you. I miss the two times a week episodes. I miss the Thursday episodes.

And I'm also having a really hard time not telling you the book that we're going to do in the fall. I know what it is.

And I want to tell you because I'm really excited about it. I miss reading with you and talking to you about the book that we're reading. I'm loving these summer

episodes too and having so much fun really delving into Jane Eyre in a way that I always do

inside my own head, but I get to do now with you, and that really does feel like a joy. But I also

am just, I'm like sitting on this information about what we're going to do

in September. And I really want to tell you, but I'm not going to because it is all part of my

nefarious plan. So this is summer session of story time for grownups. And if you're joining us for

the very first time, welcome. I'm so glad that you found the podcast. This is a podcast where we read

classic literature, chapter by chapter, with a few notes along the way. And this past season,

we read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, and in September we will be reading something else

as yet to be announced. But right now, we are in summer session, and what that means is that we are

discussing Jane Eyre. We're delving into some of the themes and ideas that we were talking about

all throughout the time when we were reading the book. And so if you are very familiar with

Jane Eyre and you're joining us for the first time and you'd like to jump right in, this is

kind of like a college class only fun. So if that's something that sounds great to you, then please stick around, although
