The headlines from London, Sudan latest news, first British evacuees arrive in Cyprus.

The first flight carrying British evacuees from Sudan landed in Cyprus with around 40 people on board.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said, quote, many more flights will take Britain's out of Sudan tonight and tomorrow.

These evacuations are taking place under the threat of genuine violence.

The collapse in Sudan is between two warlords, the one warlord, the paramilitary, the other warlord, the army.
