It's the start of a new week, and it may bring a new wave of subpoenas

from the House Select Committee investigating January 6th,

as the committee

presses forward with its probe into the deadly attack on the nation's capital.

The chairman, Benny Thompson, says he has signed about 20 subpoenas so far, but hasn't specified

whom may be served with them beyond this somewhat cryptic description that he gave reporters.

Who's in this next batch? Like what kind of? Well, some of the people that have been

written about, some of the people who haven't been written about, you know, we're just doing our body of work.

As the committee continues in its investigation, it is reportedly zeroing in on a number of

individuals connected to the so-called war room at the Willard Hotel near the White House.
