Wednesday night, we're going to continue our through the Bible study. Let's turn to Luke

chapter two this morning as we're going to look at the chapter two on Wednesday night.

And we draw our text from our upcoming Wednesday night study. And if you're just joining us,

we go verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book through the Bible. We don't skip a verse.

And so we just happen to be right here in

Luke chapter two for the morning. I'd like to start in Luke chapter two and read a small

little part of the story here. And we'll do an in-depth on this story on Wednesday, but there's a

little phrase that kind of caught my attention that I think is really important for us to think about this morning

and maybe not a very comfortable subject at that.

So I'll give you a little fair warning right now.

But it's Luke chapter 2.

We'll start in verse 41.

Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year

at the feast of the Passover,

and when he, Jesus, was 12 years old,

they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.

And when they had fulfilled the days

as they returned, the child,

Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem and Joseph and his

mother knew not of it but they supposing him to have been in the company went a day's journey

and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintances,

but when they found him not,
