There's nothing quite like success to test our medal. In many ways, prosperity will test our character more than adversity. After all, achievement breeds invincibility. Well, today, on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall offers a cautionary message on the pitfalls of success and other dangers that

threaten our personal integrity. It's number six in his 16-part series called

Strengthening Your Grip. In this study we'll expose danger signs that should be

What I want you to do is to carry out an exploratory surgical operation, spiritually speaking.

I'd like you to allow the Spirit of God to take the scalpel of the Word of God and to open yourself up to reveal the truth of what's inside.

It's going to be uncomfortable and in some cases it's going to bring a lot of pain. But I want you to see

just how beneficial such a surgical procedure can be. Open the instrument that God is using

today in our lives to Proverbs chapter 24 and let's see that test

as it's revealed in verse 10. And having seen it, let's allow the Spirit of God to examine

how we are in the midst of adversity.

2410 of Proverbs, Solomon writes,

If you are slack in the day of distress,

your strength is limited.
