| 0:00.0 | This is CBSI in the world. I'm John Bats. So Gregory Coppoli, editor and publisher of Defense |
| 0:09.3 | and Foreign Affairs this year. And we've been discussing Niger and the small West African |
| 0:13.7 | states that have turned out their elected leadership for military dictatorship and Niger being |
| 0:18.8 | the most recent. But the largest and most important state in West Africa, all of Africa, |
| 0:24.9 | certainly sub Sahara, is Nigeria. And Nigeria, recent election to Nubu, the new president, |
| 0:31.6 | who was a practice politician, is not, is normally, is automatically the head of equals because |

| 1:39.3 | in Sierra Leone further up the West African coast, they they have really manipulated the |
| 1:46.0 | electoral systems to stay in power, to gain power. And so these are de facto coups themselves. |
| 1:54.0 | So you asked the question is whether Nigeria was getting ready for a coup. Well, they've had a |
| 1:59.4 | de facto coup already this year. And the question is whether that becomes a military coup. |
| 2:05.2 | Now, the process of intervening in Niger is going on. Very often that Niger and Nigeria |
