talking about commercial real estate. So, Maas, tell us a little bit about your background,

because I was really intrigued by what you do professionally and how you get into real estate.

So tell the listeners a little bit about your background. I'm a part-time

neurosurgeon and a full-time real estate investor basically started out in real estate even before I was

considering going into medicine. My folks came to this country in 1964 from Japan. Between my

mother and my father, they had less than $100 between them. They did

the American dream the right way. They worked hard, saved money, and invested in real estate.

When I turned 15, I was the oldest sibling in my family who could speak English. So

naturally, the task of making sure that rents

getting collected and taxes and insurance getting paid up on time, that all fell to me. So

I had an early start on education and real estate. So your parents are real estate investors?

That was kind of what they got into? Yes, I think more than any other investment they made,

and they've done some weird investments in the past. Real estate has worked out really well for them.
