So why don't you turn there? Matthew chapter 14. We have the second storm recorded in the gospel of

Matthew. And the first one I'm going to call stormology 101. You know, the disciples learn some lessons in the class

of Jesus's, you Jesus' teaching them.

But this is Stormology 102 right here,

where they're going to get the second lesson.

But this story is a favorite.

I remember loving this story when I was a little kid.

But it's the story that just keeps on giving.

As you study it, there's so much here, and there's so much to learn. And I love

so many layers of things we can glean from a story like this. And, and you know what's so cool about

this is even though it's a storm, the good news is the Lord was using it for his purpose and for

his glory. You know, recently in our story, the disciples are facing a lot of trouble.

You know, already the Pharisees, the leaders are plotting to kill Jesus.

That's their leader.

You know, they left their nets.

They left their occupation.

They're following this guy where the leaders want to kill him, kill him.

And maybe them as well.

I mean, the disciples, this is a scary thing.

I think we forget.

We picture this warm, fuzzy story with the disciples just kind of hanging out and having a great time.

But actually, their lives are on the line already at this point.
