Summary

After a series of disturbing events that seem more like a sordid soap opera than a Bible story, John the Baptist’s life and ministry end as Herod beheads him. As we watch the story unfold and Jesus’ reaction in Matthew 14, we learn some essential lessons on fear, speaking the truth, trusting God’s commandments, and the depth of His compassion towards us.

that just the power of the truth of the word that it has in people's lives.

1:46.6

There's nothing in the world that can change a life, I think, more than the Word of God.

1:51.2

The Word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword.
