Chapter 13 as we continue our study?

A lawyer wanting to be impressive said, I will speak on the highest authority, the Bible.

And then he quoted Job 2.4, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

The other attorney, the opposing attorney, being a Christian who also read the Bible fairly

regularly, he replied, he said, apparently this other attorney thinks he's higher authority,

there's no other higher authority than Satan. Because the guy hadn't done his homework,

as they often do, Job chapter 2, verse 4 is the scripture he was quoting, and he just quoted

half of it. And as it turns out,

Job 2.4 says, and Satan answered the Lord and said,

Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath, will he give for his life?

It's funny how you can quote scripture,

and it doesn't always work so good when you don't really look at the context. And I love that we get to go right through this scripture, and it doesn't always work so good when you don't really look at the context.

And I love that we get to go right through this scripture, and we get to look at what it

actually means and what we're learning here. And we want to go deeper. Now, I always like to

remind us that we're not, we're barely even scratched in the service of the Bible. I hope you

understand that.

And I get a sense, I don't know about you guys,

but I have to just give this as sort of a disclaimer.

I get a sense that as we're going through these parables,

that we're missing a lot.
