It was like on cue adult beverage. Shake or shake or shake or shake.

No, we are not quitters. We're going to keep drinking and drinking and drinking.

Anyways, today talking about how to finish, how to finish. I was a former quitter.

And part of that, it's so easy to blame our parents, but I had parents who let me, if I said I don't like this, they let me quit everything.

So if I took a piano lessons for a week and said I don't like this, it's horrible. They would say, oh, well, do you want to quit? I'd say yes.

And art lessons and horseback riding and karate and judo and you name it. Anything I did for a week, which it's always uncomfortable the first week.

I would say, I don't like it. And they would say, okay, you can quit. You can quit.

So not that I'm blaming them, but in my mind, I felt like it was a good thing to quit because any were always trying something new.

But that translated as an adult into me not having the ability to finish, freaking anything.

And when I say anything, I mean, I don't think I ever put the laundry away after I did the laundry.

I would start the dishes, but I wouldn't put the dishes away. I would have a million brilliant ideas for a business,

but I never would take them all the way to the end. I would volunteer to be, you know, the chapter president of whatever.

And I would be very aggressively involved in the beginning and then I would fade away. I would quit everything.

And one of the things I realized was that I was looking for success. That's why I was often quitting because I realized there was somebody already a lot better at it or it was difficult for me and I wanted to be successful.

So I would quit in an effort to find success.

If you don't stick to anything, you're never going to be successful. And I just didn't learn that.
