Stop dating like the world. Switch to the Holy Spirit dating. Dating with a dove. Now you may say, there's a Holy Spirit dating. Well, today we're going to contrast

what's happening in the world

when it comes to dating and what should be happening in a Christian circles. First of all,

1stasylonians chapter 4, verse 4 and 5, it says, for this is the will of God, your

sanctification, that you should abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you should

know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification

and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God.

Meaning, from the beginning, God wants us to think, live, behave differently, not like the

Gentiles who don't know God, meaning not like people in this culture.

Now, when it comes to dating in the world, there are a few characteristics of that. Number one is the casual sex. Modern dating culture

frequently accepts and encourages casual sexual relationships. There's also cohabitation living

together before marriage. Cohabitation is commonly

accepted in today's culture as a step before marriage. The third thing that the world does

is they prioritize the physical appearance over the character. While physical attraction and clicking,

you know, physically and having that attraction is very important.

It's a natural aspect of any relationship.

But in today's culture, they place undue emphasis on looks versus character or somebody's value,

somebody's deep walk with God.

The fourth thing is selfishness in relationships.
