It is Wednesday and of course we have a lot to talk about.

We have Vladimir Putin's very very dangerous escalation in Russia.

We have more indications of what a real man of political genius, Ronda Santis, is he's

now facing a lawsuit from some of those asylum seekers that he duped into going to

Martha's Vineyard.

We actually have a new poll out though showing that Santis has opened up a pretty significant

lead.

Over Donald Trump among Republicans in his home state of Florida, which probably means

that that timetable for Trump to lash out at this and this has been shortened.

Also just a quick note on my newsletter this morning, Warning Shots, I focus on a speech

that Merrick Garland gave over the weekend at Ellis Island.

In 908 it received some attention.

It's worth revisiting because Garland spoke just a couple of days after Donald Trump began

to ratchet up his not so veiled threats that there would be violence and chaos and anarchy

if he's ever held legally accountable.

And of course this again raises the question.

Is Merrick Garland going to blink?

Is he going to be, is he going to align himself with the folks who believe that it's just

not prudent to charge Donald Trump?

That it's simply too risky to stand by the rule of law.
