Travel. It's something we as humans love to do. Since the time of Lois and Clark, no wait, that's actually a Superman, a good TV show. It's actually Lewis and Clark, who went on the Discovery Expedition to the newly acquired Western portion of the country, known as the Louisiana Purchase.

The human desire to see things that are unexplored is deep-rooted.

Just look at our space program.

Now whether it's in the journey or the destination

travel is a wonderful way to accomplish personal growth in emotional healing.

As cliche as it is not all those who wander are lost, and yes, you can actually live, laugh, and love

your way to better mental health. But there are some untoward outcomes of travel,

because with every benefit, there is a risk.

That's why we must explain all risks and benefits to our patients' prior consent.

And with each trip we take, we bring on those risks.

For example, if you go to France, you will see the Eiffel Tower, the reconstruction of Notre Dame,

and even the recently desecrated Mona Lisa.

Yes, Mona got caked, literally.

But you also have to accept the risks involved.

Like in France, those ascargoes can give you a parasite.

This has been known to cause eosinophilic meninio encephalitis.

Fine, so then you won't eat the snails. But then there's even the cheese. Can you

imagine cheese being unsafe? It's almost unheard of, but it actually does happen and it can ruin your day.

Soft cheeses can become contaminated. People have become seriously ill with Listerosis

after eating contaminated cheese, according to the health department in France.

Many cases of Listerosis have occurred and some of the patients even became so seriously

ill.
