Today's 10-minute walk is helping you create a walking habit you will love.

Hi, I'm Dave. Stanley writes, back in December, my doctor recommended that I start walking.

This is kind of the concept of movement as medicine and Stanley's doctor gave him a prescription. Start

moving. Start walking. Okay, back to Stanley. At the same time, I also gave up fast food

and iced coffee. I started with walking 12,000 steps a day. I'm going to push pause just

for a moment.

Stanley did like a double hard thing here.

To create a walking habit every day is really hard.

To start at 12,000 steps a day, super hard.

But that was Stanley's decision and he succeeded okay so back to

Stanley two days later two days later I was down nine pounds that's incredible

Stanley says while I'm out walking, I listen to your podcast, walking is fitness.

It keeps me motivated and happy to be walking. Stanley, thank you. I appreciate that.

That's one of my goals is to help you stay motivated and that you're happy while you're listening and walking.

I think that's far more the walking than the podcast because walking is one of those things that can actually have this emotional impact on us.
