Hey everybody, it's Rob Leifeld. Welcome to Rob Observations. We're going to talk comics. We're

even going to talk some movies today. And we're going to talk for the first time in depth,

the man who kind of started all this. Maybe not all by himself, but he's a figurehead without equal.

No longer with us. Yes, I am talking about Stan the Man Lee, the legend, the icon, the man.

Stan is quite possibly the most famous figurehead of all time in the history of comic books.

I was able to spend a great amount of time with him over 30 plus years,

much more so on the back end of his life than the early end of my career,

which would take us back 30 years.

But Stan was never, ever not completely present in the comic

book industry, making his impact known, whether it was through the characters that, you know,

bore his signature design in terms of voice and co-creation with two of the most fabulous, most

talented creators, you know know in the whole world

with with jack kirby and steve didco stand had a signature uh uh you know mark to everything that he did

and it is carried through to this day uh you know the end of his life he was was kind of given the do, I think, that everyone expected for him.

Sadly, he was like the last man standing. Jack Kirby had long passed away almost 30 years prior to that.

And Steve Ditko was a recluse up until the day he

passed away. And Steve Ditko has a story for another day, but no less as an amazing talent as Jack Kirby,

the two of them combined with Stan, gave us the modern day Marvel Universe, especially if you have,

if all you know, like my own kids who have told me repeatedly, if all you know the Marvel Universe is the Marvel movies,

and don't kid yourself, there is so many of them out there. Again, my son, now 20 years old,

was, I took him and my youngest son at six years old to see Ironman on opening day.

Very excited. They were more interested in Iron Man.
