Today we are talking about something I like to think about often and love to speak on and coach on because being a human being the capacity that a human

being has to create to do to make to allow is incredible and so often so easily I think that we we forget that

because we are caught up in the daily grind just you know often repeating what we did yesterday

we are just kind of going through the motions just getting through the week which is why I love to speak specifically about goals,

and then share a quick question that I always love to come back to when I look at my own goals. So as a coach typically you know if you're

working maybe with someone in the career world or the business world they'd say you

know what's your five-year plan or what's your three-year plan?

I prefer to not really, not go above six months, for a couple of reasons.

First of all, life is so dynamic and ever changing, as you can see,

that even in 12 months, a whole lot can change without us even expecting it. So a year from now can feel kind of far away.

And secondly, six months is often something that we can taste.

Right, we can, you know, often we plan our vacations within the next six months or we have even

social things in our calendar within the next six months, often we'll know what work projects we're

working on within the next six months.

So I love to create six month goals,

but I know some people love to create 12 month goals

because a year just feels complete.

It doesn't even matter for the purpose of today's episode whether you are thinking about or just pondering or having a vision for either a six or a 12 month goal.
