Buh! Bitterness! Bitterness is compost manure-like byproduct of simply being alive, right?

I remember when I was younger, like in my late teens, early 20s, I was a very

bitter person. It's like I had started to sort of attune my emotional vision to all the

injustices in the world. Injustices in my life, why is her diorama graded higher than mine? Why does that guy like her instead of me?

Why didn't I make the dance team? Well, because I can't dance. But also the injustices of like the

entire world, right? They're locking people up at Guantanamo Bay and crops are failing and

Native Americans

of their lands taken away.

And I was just this ball of anger, kind of.

And let me tell you something.

That gets worse as you get older because more injustices happen.

You become aware of more of them.

So we have to have some sort of way to manage

our bitterness. So we're going to talk today about two different scenarios. One, a potentially very

bitter scenario at work. And the other one is a really upsetting scenario, how to move on after a

sexual assault or some other equally nightmarish trauma that, yeah, okay, you're

stronger.
