Now we have to be on the lookout for Chinese vapes.

This message coming from the Senate GOP, they're warning against these things.

So there's a group of Senate Republicans.

They sent a letter to the Treasury Secretary, Scott Besant, and U.S. trade representatives,

warning about the risks of illicit Chinese e-cigarettes.

They say that these vapes are highly sophisticated and can connect to smartphones.

And it's a breach of data.

They can install malware and also collect sensitive user information.

And the devices could target U.S. military personnel and this raises national security concerns. Do you think this could be a good reason for parents to talk to their teenagers and give them another reason not to vape or not to start vaping? Of course, you have the conversation, hey, it's bad for your health, you shouldn't do it, but now it's like, hey, it's going to connect. China's spying on you.

It's going to connect to your phone. They're going to steal all your information. I don't know if teenagers really care about their data at that point in their lives, but it may be another angle for parents to take on this entire situation. The first thing I thought of with this, and there's no mention of this in the story at all, but what my mind went to was Israel and their war with Hamas and the beepers that randomly detonated,

and that was allegedly all done by Israel during their war with Hamas. But this is ridiculous.

I didn't even know that there were a type of vape that could connect to your phone.

Yeah, apparently Trump's DOJ has seized about $90 million worth of these illicit Chinese

vapes in one operation.

And they say that some of the vapes are even linked to Mexican cartels, and they're used

as a money laundering front.

Can we stop with everything connecting to our phones at this point

in time? I get some of it. I like it that our thermostat is connected to our, to our phone so I can

change it when I'm not at the place, but I don't need my refrigerator connected to my phone.
