Morning, guys.

Let's talk about this article featuring the Secretary of State of Indiana, Diego Morales,

confusion over paperwork handling, has Indiana candidates scrambling.

Now, this is across party lines, and this is about candidates who are filling their nominating paperwork ahead of the May primary, and there are

some concerns. Tell us about it. Yeah, you know, concerns were raised by Abdul that basically

when you sign up to run, you have to attest that you meet all the rules. And the person who's

taking that paperwork has to meet certain definitions in the state law.

And there was concern that, like, if you file it the election division, all of those employees can do that.

But many of these people were filing at the Secretary of State's, like, home office in the State House,

and there was concern that he hadn't properly deputized them and filed that paperwork so that someone could challenge a filing taken in by those people.

And so basically, Republicans and Democrats have been getting advice to come in and refile.

We spent a few hours.

My reporter Tom Davies spent a few hours at the election division yesterday, and people were streaming in to refile.

Some of them having to drive hours to do that.

So, yeah, fascinating little wrinkle.

So what does this imply about the internal process?
