I'm joined by Greg and Aaron Smalley, they lead our marriage team here at Focus and Greg

discipleship. I often think of that in terms of you know there's a young man I'm gonna try to

disciple him but this is something that works out in marriage, too.

There's some phenomenal research by a guy named John Gottman.

One of the things that he found that in marriage, one of the reasons that people have a strong marriage is that they accept

each other's influence.

In other words, I think about all the ways that Aaron tries to influence me.
