It was always short before, you know, gospel-centered living kind of thing. And then I made it a bit longer

last year to help new listeners know who I am. Like if it was their first time tuning in,

they're like, oh, Lauren, she's got four kids. You know, she likes the word of God and likes to encourage others with

it. But I was like, you know what? Sometimes those intros, if you are a long time listener,

you're like trying to fast forward. So I was like, let's try something shorter today and we'll see.

Today's topic is about a new thought, which is closely related to new age term called

manifestation. It's rooted in the law of attraction, and I've just seen it explode in mainstream culture recently.

I mean, I thought about doing this episode before, and I thought, well, is it just on the fringe?

And then after Christmas, my husband had got these chocolates for me, like dove chocolates, and I was unwrapping them,

and they have these little notes on the

inside of the foils, and one of them said something about manifestation, and my four-year-old,

I didn't know it, but my four-year-old, she hands me the foil, and I was like, oh, it's got a little

note on the inside, let's read it. It said something like, go ahead and manifest it or manifest your dreams in this year or something. And in reading it midway,

I was like, go ahead and manufacture, manufacture things, the things you like to play with.
