Hello, and thank you so much for joining me today on the Sheproose Faithful podcast.

My name is Lauren, and if this is your first time or your 164th time, I'm so excited that you're tuning in today

because I have a very special guest on. I don't do interviews very often, but this is a woman I wanted

to ask to be on the podcast for a really long time. And because everything feels like a

boiling pot of crazy with politics, I was like, what a better time to stoke the fire than now.

So why don't you just email and ask? And I'm so grateful that when I reached out to the

relatable podcast host, Allie Beth Stucky, that she generously offered to be on the podcast. So thank you so

much, Allie. Before I tell you a little bit about our guests today and get to the interview,

some things that you might be wondering is why politics, Lauren, you've never talked about

politics. This is not a politics podcast. You're right. It is not a politics podcast, but it is a biblical worldview podcast. It's talking about how the gospel impacts every area of our life and how our lives are under the lordship of Jesus Christ. So if politics are part of our culture, a part of our lives, and the gospel applies to it. So how? I have not

touched on this subject, really ever before without maybe saying a snippet here or there. So

this is a new category to talk about proving faithful in. And one of the, well, I have two

reasons that I haven't really addressed politics before

on this podcast is one, out of my own ignorance and lack of understanding. I'll just be real with you.

I don't, this is a new thing for me, you know, politics. I've been growing and maturing over the years

and even understanding American government, how it works, what scripture says about government and the roles of government, and even understanding God's
