CBS, I on the world. I'm John Bachelor welcoming Bob Zimmerman who will explain to us

why it is that I no longer read the second paragraph of a SpaceX launch.

Bob, this becomes as routine as somebody fixed out a swollen vehicles tire. They had to take it off and put a new tire on because there was

a patch that was threatening to blow out. Why am I so blase about SpaceX launch? What are they doing?

Well, what happened on Saturday is a good example of that. It ended up taking a little longer,

but on Saturday this past weekend the

SpaceX attempted to do three different launches from three different launch

pads they control from opposite coast to the United States and to do it all within nine hours three different

launches.

As it turned out, the first two launches went off from Cape Canaveral, two separate

different launch pads, three and a half hours apart they got both

launches off one was a geosynchronous commercial satellite and the other was

another set of starlink satellites the third launch was going to take off from Vandenberg in California, but the weather

in Vandenberg tends to be foggy and windy and they have weather issues, so they couldn't

get it off and it was just weather. They tried again the next day, Sunday, they couldn't get it off and it was just weather. They tried again the next day,

Sunday they couldn't get it off. They finally got it off on Monday. Three different

launches and three different spaceports in the three days and it would have all up but they were aiming to try to do it all in one day and the only thing stopped in was weather.

And that brings us up.

In SpaceX, it's set a new marker for future launch companies.

Their use of, it basically has demonstrated their effort to make a rocket

launch as routine as airplane travel. They launch at a pace
