Alex, why is Las Vegas the best place to be a climber?

It's so great.

The climbing is incredible, obviously.

There's a lifetime supply of hard roots, big roots, adventure routes, you know,

trad climbing, sport climbing, bouldering, whatever you want to do.

There's even ice climbing in the winter and skiing in the winter.

But it's just, it's so good.

You can literally come outside any day of the year.

Yeah.

Like there's basically never bad weather.

And even in bad weather, you could climb in other places if you were motivated enough.

You grew up in California.

You spent a lot all your life there.

Like, at this stage, does Vegas, does Nevada feel like home to you?

Yeah, I think Vegas is definitely starting to feel like home. I mean, partially because I now have a family here and I'm like raising a family, you know, it just feels homey and that we're like building a life here. But also I think that Vegas never felt that dissimilar to me than Sacramento where I grew up because it kind of has the same suburban hell. You know, lot of things that people hate about Vegas like the strip mall nature and just like

suburbs sprawling forever is how I grew up in California so I'm kind of like you know

this isn't any worse except that the climbing is world-class and it's way cheaper

and it's easier and there's a great airport you know I'm kind of like man
