Life is a journey, and God has provided songs to help us along the way.

Have you ever noticed how many people in Scripture were travelers?

They, in their lifetime, were pilgrims. They were

always on the move. For example, we think about Abraham, called to leave his country, and go out to a

place he didn't even know where he was going. And Abraham and Sarah spent the great majority of their

life as sojourners, as travelers.

Then you have Moses and the entire nation of Israel journeying through the desert for 40 years.

Can you imagine? That's a long trip.

A trip that should have only taken 11 days, by the way.

When you come to the New Testament, you have the Apostle Paul,

and the great majority of his ministry was taken up living on the road.

He was a sojourner in one place he even wrote in journings oft.

In other words he was always going somewhere.

But let me say personally I know how they feel because the work that God has called us to do

as an evangelist, I'm in a different place every week and many times every day of my life,

sleeping in different places and eating in different places, laboring in different places, many times with people that I don't know.

And so as a traveler, there are pitfalls, there are dangers, of course, there are blessings

along the way, but there are truths that God teaches you along the journey of life.

In Hebrews chapter number 11, God describes for us, of course, this great number of people,

this innumerable company who lived and died and made their journey in faith.
