I'm going to tell you what happened 24 years ago today and five memorable walks that happened as a result.

Today, I want to tell you what happened on November 18, 2001.

24 years ago today.

I got up early before the sunrise, walked out to our kitchen.

We had a window that almost spanned from the ceiling to the floor.

And I sat down on the floor in front of the window

and stared outside.

And it didn't take long before I saw the first meteor.

And then they just followed one right after the other.

It was pretty incredible.

It was the Leonid meteor shower.

I think I'm saying that right.

Peaks every year on November 18th.

In fact, if you're listening before sunrise, I think primarily in North America, although

I'm not entirely sure it's limited to North America.

But if it's before sunrise, you maybe you've already seen a meteor or a dozen.

Well that morning, it felt like I sat there for a long time in reality.

It might have only been 10 minutes.

And it was really a profound experience experience not just because of the meteors
