| 0:00.0 | Welcome back my friends. It is time for us to get our minds aligned with the truth of God and |
| 0:09.2 | we've been doing that by looking at the book of 1st Peter. We're in chapter 2, almost right in the middle of the chapter. |
| 0:16.4 | And we have stepped into a topic that is a hot button. I just have to tell you if you want to go back to get the |
| 0:25.1 | context in fact I encourage you to go back and get the context you can go back |
| 0:29.3 | two episodes prior to this one to the one titled Peter's Powerful Use of the S word. |
| 0:35.0 | And I will just leave it at that. That will get you up to speed if you start there |

| 1:43.0 | And he says in the very first two sentences, ending in verse 19, that slavery is an unjust |
| 1:52.2 | practice. He's saying suffering under the hand of slavery is unjust. |
| 1:56.9 | But nevertheless, he says those servants who are believers in Jesus Christ in order to be like Jesus are to be subject to |
| 2:06.1 | their masters with all respect not only to the good ones and the gentle ones but |
| 2:11.2 | also to those who are unjust. |
| 2:14.0 | And his logic is that we are to be examples of Jesus Christ to everyone around us. Let that resonate in your mind for a moment. We're |
