Good morning, my friends and welcome back. I want to ask you to consider something this morning, something very personal, something that you may have to stop and think about for a bit.

And that's this question.

How has Jesus served you in your life?

What has he done? What effect has it had?

Welcome back to the morning mindset. I'm Carrie Green. We're diving into that question

based on the book of 1st Peter, Chapter 2, and we're coming right up on the end of the chapter.

And for a while now, Peter has been talking about the Christian's role as a reflection of Jesus Christ, one who represents him in the

world. And he's come upon this word submission and a synonym to it could be service or servanthood toward others.

And my question to you, how has Jesus served you, Is aimed at helping you think through the extent to which our service

to others should go.

Because when Jesus served me, I'll just speak for myself, he did so in a way that

is really mind-blowing. He, the perfect God of creation came to this earth as a human being and he suffered first of all all of the indignities of being

he had to have someone clean his diaper he had to have dignities of being human.

He had to have someone clean his diaper.

He had to have someone wipe his face.

He had to have someone put a bandaid on his boo-boo-booos, so to speak,

you know, doctor up his wounds.

He had to do all of those things he could not do for himself when he was an infant and a small

child.

But he went on from there and he lived in the difficulties that a sinful world gives to us.

He had to face the obstacles, he had to face bullies, he had to face injustices of various forms as he grew up.

He had to endure the stigma of being born to a situation where what others perceived as
