This is CBSI in the world. I'm John Bachelord, the employment record. Employers added 236,000

workers last month. That would be the month of March. It historically, strong gain, but

the smallest and more than two years, according to the Labor Department, as reported by the

Wall Street Journal. The unemployment rate, which is rated separately from the added

workers, is at 3.5% a very low number. However, the interpretation is positive about the

possibility that the jobs engine is slowing, which is the result goes the theory of the

Federal Reserve's sharp rate hikes over the last year. I welcome Gene Marks, the Guardian

Small Business Columnist for the UK and US edition, as well as the Philadelphia Inquirer

or hometown newspaper and other distinguished publications to see if he also finds this

number positive in responding to the hikes by the Federal Reserve that have led to, among

John, first of all, the markets were open. I think they would be reacting positively to

this, not some kind of huge boom, but no, you're not wrong at all. This is really good news.

Shout out to unemployment rate. It's close to a 53 year low. How is that not positive?

When people talk about the slowdown in the economy or the challenges that we face, I get frustrated.

I was just looking at Twitter recently and I saw both the President and the Vice President

were tweeting that their administration has created 12 million jobs since they took

office, which is really misleading because they took office when the end of a pandemic

where these jobs would have come back regardless who was in the White House. But putting that
