Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

This is kind of Rosary on the road because I'm with my school of faith family, my school of faith team,

these members of this movement of the holy family and we've had lunch and great conversation and now we're going to pray the Rosary together.

And over the next few weeks I'm going to be introducing the members of the team more and more to you.

Because I want you to get to know not only my wife Sandy and you know Teresa the Great, but more of my family the family that are the members of this

Organization you know is the Holy Family School of Faith so let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

I'm especially offering this for the healing of Olivia Canili asking for the intercession of

blessed Pauli and Jericho and for the strengthening of Jeannie Sherman as

she grows closer and closer to our Lord, passing through the door of death into eternal life,

strengthening her to be conformed to Christ as she works with him to save souls on her journey.

We've been reflecting on the virtues, most recently the virtue of temperance and now we're traveling through the seven

deadly sins. Today we meditate on the deadly sin of Achadia.

The greatest joy is to possess God, the supreme good.

The vice that prevents us from reaching our high calling of union with God is sloth or achadia.

Sloth is a sorrow or boredom with the spiritual life.

It's being bored with the things of God which results in a spiritual apathy or complacency.

This is when you don't like spiritual things.

Achadia or sloth is an aversion to spiritual things like prayer, mass, talking about God,

and the ultimate things like heaven. Basically everything that matters most.

Sloth is a revulsion to the invitation from God to become god-like, a saint.
