So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those that we've promised begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those that we've promised to pray for,

especially Dennis Copland, recovering from hip replacement.

And for the repose of the soul of Troy Betis and for his wife and children and for the healing and recovery of Thomas Lauer and especially for our little Olivia. We continue to

pray for her complete healing. I was given word by her mother that Olivia's vision is getting a little bit better.

She's able to track and so that's something very important for someone who's having seizure clusters. So Olivia is

improving so we have to continue to pray for her. And now let's pause for a moment

and you can call to mind your own intentions. We are meditating on the seven deadly sins,

yesterday pride, and today envy, but there's a real logic and internal logic to the order of the deadly sins.

Envy follows pride for this reason.

Pride is to think either too much of oneself or to think too little of oneself.

Remember, humility falls in between those. With humility, we think correctly about ourselves.

But pride, we can err on either side,

thinking too much or thinking too little of oneself.

But in either case, when we see someone better than ourselves, we may

be tempted to tear them down or even to destroy them to avoid having to become better ourselves.
