Hello and welcome to the Get Your Globe Map podcast. I'm joined today by Anjali Mato,

0:07.7

consultant dermatologist and author of the Skin Bible. Skin is a topic I'm fascinated by and I absolutely

0:14.8

love, love, love Anjali's book. So I'm so excited to have her on the podcast today. We spoke all about the different

0:22.4

skin conditions many of us experience, the must-have skincare products we should be investing in,

0:27.9

and the ones we shouldn't follow with. The best ways to approach and prepare for skin aging,

0:33.2

and the biggest myths and misconceptions about skincare. We recorded this a while ago and sadly the very

0:40.3

beginning of the episode got cut out. However, we do have all the juicy parts recorded. So I just

0:49.5

want to bear in mind that we don't have that very beginning part of the conversation. We kind of

0:53.6

dive deep into

0:54.6

the questions immediately, but there's still a fantastic episode here for you to listen to. So let's

1:00.9

bring on the amazing, the incredibly knowledgeable and jolly. What's your favourite treatment to do?

1:09.6

On patients or on myself?

1:11.6

Both?

1:12.1

On myself.

1:12.6

I mean, look, I'm now 40 and I've been having a little bit of Botox and a little bit of filler since probably a past two or three years.

1:19.9

And I think that was the right time for me to start.

1:22.9

And then in terms of doing treatments, I think the most satisfying consultation for me still is acne and acne

1:29.4

scarring. And I think that just comes from my own background of having had acne, that it's quite

1:33.6

nice to take somebody through the journey of getting the acne switched off, dealing with the

1:37.8

pigmentation that they may have, and then if they've got scarring, being able to laser that

1:40.9

away as well. So I think that's probably the most career satisfying thing to be able to do. I like it. I can imagine. I feel like mine would be like if I was used, squeezing other people's spots. Was it? Do you watch those pimple pop a video? No, I can't do that, but I don't like really, really big ones. But I do love that satisfaction of popping a spot. Oh, do you know, I still feel a bit funny about watching this. The pimple pop a video is they upset me a little bit. Considering I'm a dermatologist, I recognise that's quite weird, but... I feel like we'll definitely go into that. Collagen's kind of a word thrown around a lot. You can now eat it, drink it, have gummies of it, but also we talk about it from

2:18.5

treatment. So maybe could we talk about collagen through products as well as potentially through
