He's guest expert is Dr. Brian Gillis back for, I don't know, 4th or 5th time.

And I'll note this is one of the last of the like, stored up ones I have.

So I would love to pretend that this just happened, but you'll see once we start talking about

when the Euclid Telescope, which is the main subject of today's episode, is going to be

launched into space.

We're talking a few months ago.

And as of release, the Euclid Space Telescope has been launched.

Brian's gonna tell us all about it in past episodes that I hope you've heard.

He's talked about his area, his specialty, gravitational lensing, super interesting stuff.

And that was all a lot of the theoretical side, and this is more the practical side.

How does the telescope, how does this space telescope actually capture the data?

That's gonna reveal so many cool things about the universe, dark matter, all that stuff.

Sort of interesting, we didn't get into it, but Brian mentions that the Euclid Space Telescope

is launching with SpaceX, and we go into that a little bit, so I won't spoil that.

But one thing I did see that we didn't go into is that is largely a result of the Russian

attack on Ukraine.

Since this is a project of the European Space Agency, the telescope was something that

was gonna go up in a Russian launch of some kind.

And then this happened, and so I guess it is fortunate that the launch was compatible
