Back on the show is Dr. Alan Smurbeck, who I will always call Stormy Desisis.

The reason being that back before Andrew stole opening arguments from all of us,

Alan was one of the top patrons and the best questioners on that show and went by the patron name Stormy Desisis.

So Alan will always be Stormy in my heart.

But in your hearts, it's Dr. Alan Smurbeck, PhD professor of psychology,

and he is here to tell us about some really interesting research.

I realized as I edited this, how pertinent this information is to a lot of anti-woke arguments,

or at least some anti-woke anti-left arguments, to a degree that I perhaps didn't realize back when we recorded it.

We're talking about slurs and just bad words and their impact on people.

And as a teaser, turns out there's actually a really good reason to use euphemisms instead of the actual words,

which I think is a very important point.

So I hope you'll listen on and find out why that is.

This one's a lot of fun, but I also should give a content note if you're someone who cares about bad words.

Stormy is going to say a couple bad words at ya, so just be prepared for that.

And not the normal bad words that I say, like some extra bad words, just some like 1.5x bad word.

You know, like the next tier up of bad, not the highest tier, but the next tier up of bad words is all I'll say.
