Hey there, my friends. Have you ever wondered why this world is so messed up?

Well, in today's episode of the Morning Mindset, we're going to be looking into one of the reasons that the world is such a broken place.

This is where we get our minds aligned with the truth of God's word for this day.

We'll be doing that by looking at Genesis chapter 3, verses 1 through 7.

As we continue this series about God's story, what God is doing in history and how we got to the place we're at.

We're going to get into Genesis chapter 3 in just a moment.

But before we do, I invite you to pray with me so that we together will have our hearts aligned with God

and be able to hear His Spirit as he guides us in understanding His Word.

Holy Spirit, we understand you to be the author of Scripture.

And we submit ourselves to your leadership right now.

We want you to show us what you intended when you wrote these words,

when you transmitted to us what happened in the past that has led to where we are now.

So give us ears to hear and hearts to receive.

We ask in Jesus' name, amen.

All right, friends, we are looking at Genesis chapter 3, verses 1 through 7.

Now, of course, there's more to this story than what we're going to read today.

But this section gives us the gist of how

sin broke the world. It says, now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field

the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, and he is the servant. He said to the woman,

did God actually say, you shall not eat of any tree in the garden? And the woman said to the woman, did God actually say, you shall not eat of any tree in the garden?

And the woman said to the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden.
