Today, as we continue our series, God's story,

we're going to learn that we as human beings are representatives of God.

Welcome to the morning, Mike.

This is our opportunity to get our minds aligned with the truth of God's word for this day.

We're going to be reading in Genesis chapter 1, verses 26 through 28, so get out your Bibles,

and join me as we pray and prepare our hearts for what God

has to teach us today. Now, Father, we ask you to teach us, guide us, lead us, in understanding your

purpose for us as human beings. We ask it in Jesus' name, amen. Okay, friends, Genesis chapter 1,

verse 26, 28 describes for us some of what happened

on the sixth day of creation. Then God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness and let them

have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens, and over the livestock,

and over the earth, and over the earth,

and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in his own image.

In the image of God, he created him, male and female, he created them. And God blessed them. And God

said to them, be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.

So friends, when God created mankind, male and female, he created us differently than all the rest of creation.

Everything else he spoke and it came into existence with us. He made us in his image with a specific

design and characteristic. Now what does that mean in his image? Well, some people will say it has

something to do with how we look. Some will say it has something to do with how we have body, soul,
