Hello and welcome to the political party.

This is a replay episode from many years ago.

This is an interview I recorded with Ed Miliband back in 2018.

Seven years ago, a year before the 2019 general election,

and of course six years before the 2024 general election.

Ed is now Secretary of State for Energy and Net Zero,

but he at the time obviously had been Labour leader until three years previously, and we reflect on that period.

Corbyn was leader at this point and just his place really, although it was only three years after he'd resigned as leader, just trying to assess his place in Labour history,

I guess, and on the compass of labour and the responsibilities that came with that.

This is a classic episode from the back catalogue. I'm currently getting ready for the Edinburgh Festival.
