Hello and welcome to the political party.

Today's guest is Oliver Coppard, the Labour Mayor for South Yorkshire.

And we talk about his ambitious plans to improve the health of South Yorkshire and how

that's not often the number one priority of the mayor, certainly not the ones that I've interviewed on this show. We get into that and also why health matters to him. But also just a whole lot of stuff about not just Sheffield, the other areas, Rotherham and the politics around things

that have happened there and just all sorts of things. This is a really good, wide-ranging

interview with someone who's really passionate, really forthright and just has an interesting take on what Labour needs to be doing,

on his own labour values and what brought him into labour

and the times that he struggled to be labour as a Jewish person,

which I'm sure you can imagine when the more difficult times for him were.

But just stuff about his own life and his own life experience, his own health.

This is just fantastic.

I couldn't believe that we'd hit an hour when we had.
