Hello and welcome to the political party. This is another replay episode before the live editions recorded at the Edinburgh Festival are released every Monday.

This is from 2018 and it's with James Cleverley, who is back in front-line politics.

Obviously, he was on the backbenchers after the election defeat last year.

He's now a leading member of Kemmy Badenock's Shadow Cabinet.

This was the first time he'd been on the show.

He was at the time.

He'd just been made deputy chair of the Tory party.

He's always been a really good guest, James.

He's always willing to engage with ideas and he's

really good at sort of bantering along and having no laugh. So now that he's been re-elevated
