I really think a lot of marriages can move from a troubled state to a good one as long as the couple puts in the effort to make the changes.

That's more likely to happen with the proper motivation and what better motivation is there than the well-being of the children you've created together.

Or even the happiness and fulfillment that comes from warm, loving bond between each other.

But if there are minor children in the home and there's been no infidelity, no issues of addiction, no abuse, I think it's your obligation to find a way to stick it out instead of choosing to go your separate ways.

Going separate ways means destroying your kids' lives as they know them.

Many of the marriage-related calls I get are simply about two people who have stopped putting in the effort to show love, to show kindness to each other.
