All right, moving on, what are the rules of engagement cast when it comes to God

parents, right?

How involved should they be? Is it a label thing? Also, some people believe that if you're a god parent

you're sort of the backup plan something happens to me in the hubby you got this but

that doesn't necessarily mean you got to be involved all the time so where's your

confusion?

Yeah so the way I look at Godparents is they're sort of like honorary aunts and uncles

right like officially brought into the fold and one of my godparents of my children though has been I guess not doing something and it's not problematic

But it's kind of raising some flags for me and I'm wondering if I should say something and so what it is is

every birthday and Christmas from their other godparents they get you know gifts

or tax acknowledgement phone calls that sort of thing like you would do if you're an aunt or an uncle

Except for this one godparent doesn't acknowledge any birthday doesn't acknowledge any Christmas and I'm not saying that we need gifts that's not what it's about but it's just been like

silence now how's it going with the kids how are they nothing now to be

fair I haven't reached out either like I haven't been bombarding but we live

very long distance and they're old friends of the family so it's like a deep connection

and so I don't know if I should say something. I don't know if maybe somehow

they missed the memo that they're a godparent and it didn't really register. And so I'm in this weird situation where there's nothing wrong but

because nothing is happening I feel like something is wrong. Does that make sense?

That's convoluted, I know. It's so for us with our kids

the God parents were also relatives so they were always in their life but I can

understand the confusion if they're outside of the family. Yeah and these are outside of the family. Yeah, and these are outside of the family.
