0:14.0	Hello. Hello Desiree, how old are you? I'm 17. All right. What can I help you with?
0:24.0	So me and my brother, we live with our grandmom because our parents were unable to take care of us.
0:32.0	And we see them sometimes like at my graduation or they come visit.
0:37.0	I'm sorry. Why were they unable to take care of you guys? What what happened?
0:42.0	My mom was on drugs and my dad had an alcohol problem.
0:48.0	So did grandma go through the courts or everybody just said okay, go live with grandma?
0:56.0	No, she went through the courts. Excellent. And how long have you been living with grandma and how old is your brother?
1:04.0	My brother is 14 and we've been living with her for about four years now.
1:12.0	Well, thank God for grandma. Alrighty. So what can I help with? Go ahead with your story.
1:20.0	So they've recently just tried to start coming back into our lives and being involved with us.
1:27.0	But I was just wondering how much effort I should put in to spending time with them.
1:34.0	Because I don't like my mom and I don't want to see her. How long have they been cleaning sober?
1:46.0	How long you think?
1:50.0	Well, your mom was out of rehab about two years.
1:56.0	My mom about two years and my dad still not really sober.
2:03.0	Okay. So grandma, are you the mom of her mom or her dad?
2:09.0	Her dad.
2:12.0	Okay. And what do you think about her mom? Tell me what the pluses and minuses are.
2:19.0	I think I guess I think that her mom is not in a good environment.
2:32.0	She lives with someone that I do believe is still doing drugs.
