Hi, Dr. Laura. How are you?

Good. What can I do for you?

Okay. So I've been in a long time listener often on when I'm traveling on the interstate and I have a lot of time of like listening to you.

And I always listen and I always say, what would Dr. Laura tell me? But right now I am really upset with my mom.

And we're pretty close and it hasn't always been that way about 10 years ago.

I decided to let go of a lot of stuff in childhood and said, this is my mom. It could be so much worse and we've bonded and we traveled together.

And you know, I'm that person that takes to the doctor when she needs to go to the doctor if anything happens, but she's pretty sharp. She's pretty sassy 82 year old.

And if you saw, you would never know she was 82.

My thing is I just found out my brother money every month and it's not just a little bit of money. I have a sneaky suspicion. It's over a thousand dollars a month.

And I am I know it's her money. It's you can do what she wants. But the reason I'm having a problem with it is we have no contact with my brother.

None of us have seen him probably since my dad's funeral 18 years ago. And he is and I know you don't like people self diagnosing, but he has been diagnosed with schizophrenics.

He is a pathological liar and he is HIV positive and he's never been successful at anything. It's been he's just really been one of those people that has never done anything with himself.

And I'm upset with her because he's taking everything that he says on face value and she's never seen where he lived or anything like that.

And I I'm just having the hardest time communicating with her and I don't want to yell and I don't want the answer.

You want the answer to all this? Yeah, she's trying to keep him alive.

Now, if you want to get a thousand a month, all you have to do is become mentally ill of a possibly terminal disease.

And all the emotional and behavioral stuff that comes from being mentally ill. If you do all of that, I guarantee you she'll give you the same amount every month.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So stop with the sibling rival. Madam, don't talk because you're going to say something foolish.
