All right, we're out at Media Day here at Shat Show.

I wouldn't say Booth, but we're actually at the range.

I keep seeing Booth, too.

Let's call it the Bay. We're at the Bay here. And I was walking by and saw this huge crowd. I'm going, okay, something's going on here. What's going on? What is this? You weren't supposed to show this here.

Well, we weren't going to, and then somebody said,

hey, you know what, let's at least get this thing out

and let some people look at it.

So what is it?

It's called

an XDS. And what it basically is, is a variation of the XD line, but it's not an XD or an XDM

made smaller. It's a whole new platform. If you look at internally, there's no parts interchangeability between

it. We wanted to make the gun as small from a profile from the back, as narrow as possible,

Tom. So the gun, when you measure from one side of the frame to the other to the most, the

largest dimension, it's to the slide stop.

It's actually not the frame of the slide.

The slide stop sticks out a little bit more and that's under an inch.

So it's for, and it's 45 ACP caliber.

45 ACP, now the XDS, S for slim, for skinny, for small, for, I don't even know.

It's kind of like the M. We're not sure what the AM means. It's the same as the S. It sounded good, I'm sure. Okay, it sounds good. So what's the capacity? It holds five rounds in the magazine, and one in the chambers, so it's a five and one. This is absolutely a conceal carry gun. There's no other purpose for it. specifically was designed for to be the thinnest and flattest package that we could produce in 45 ACP. And obviously if you can make it in 45, then you can make it in 40, you can make it 9. It's easy to go the other way. Right. It's always easy to make it something smaller. Right. So you might pick up a extra round, maybe a 9. I think a 40 might hold one more and who knows what a nine would hold. Right. I don't know.

We already have guns kind of in that category. So this, this thing's kind of like nothing we've ever made before because it's, it's quite a bit thinner than even the 19, the small 1911s. Wow. I mean, it's, it's really a little gun. So this how did this come about? What was
