I'm going to give everyone a little inside skinny on how the entertainment biz really works.

Basically, television doesn't give a crap about what they air in the summer at all.

Oh, the summer?

Yeah. That's where reality shows started. Yeah. Is it? They spend the least amount of money producing anything from May through August. People are, you know, they're outside. They're traveling. Nobody's watching TV. So they just do reruns and mail it in. I'm actually a love Ireland every night. Nobody important is watching TV, that's what I'm going to say.

But from September through April, it is on.

Yay.

So for the past 2025 through 2026 TV cycle, from mid-September to mid-April, the numbers are in.

I'm guessing football didn't do well by this theme song.

It's worth mentioning sports was not included because Sunday night football would have

been number one far and away.

Yeah, it's every game, the Thursday night game, Sunday morning games.

They're not even special days anymore.

I know.

But here's the top five TV shows that people watched last year. Honorable mention goes to Bridgerton. 18.3 million people watched. Still? That was six. That wasn't as good, but it was still. Now we're to the real list. Number five, Landman on Paramount Plus. Oh, yeah. Almost 26 million viewers for that show.

Bery Bob. Yeah, Billy Bob Thornton. Oh, it's a Billy Bob Thornton. My dad compared me to the blonde in that, and if you've seen it, you know that's offensive. Oh, that's very good. That's very cutting. Isn't she like 60 years old? No, the daughter. Oh, the daughter. Yeah.

Coming in at 20.6 million on Netflix.

Number four, The Reckoning, produced by 50 cent. Huh. I don't know that one either. I have no idea what that one is. Brooke, we are not the cool kids. We don't know. Third, something called Marshalls, probably some bi-curious cowboy rom-com, which came in at number three.

No idea what that one is either. That's projecting of you, Jeff. I'm just, you know, thinking what it could be. Marshalls. I mean, it seems pretty obvious. I mean, the hockey one's got to be up there, right? Exactly. Well, number two on Netflix, his and hers. Oh, that was good. It's based on a book. I thought it was an ad for razors.
