And today we're talking about our Spring Book Club book, Shildo Sparrows and Writes of the Starling by

Devaney Perry. And we are going to talk about your guys' responses about Shilded

Sparrels, but we do have in-depth book club episode about Shilded Sparrow's because this was our book club book for July of

2025 when it originally came out.

And we sadly don't have it on any of the podcast platforms besides YouTube.

So when we post about this, we will link the Shield of Sparrow's YouTube

podcast episode. We had some technical difficulties a while ago when we were switching over

platforms and for some reason it deleted a few episodes. So sadly we don't have it um but first we're gonna get into

but we all reread shilda sparrows before we uh read rights of the starlings so maybe let's talk about

what we rated our reread of Shilda Sparrow's.

Where'd you go first?

My original rating, I think, was 4.5, and then I never went and changed my rating on good reads, but then I would tell everyone I rated it at five stars.

My reread rating would probably be

a 4.5, maybe like a little bit lower just because it's a reread. And I didn't feel like anything was

like better the second time reading it. But I still loved it. Yeah. So, Kennedy, the first time I read it, I read it at four stars. And I think I want to bump it up to like 4.5, not because

anything was shocking, but just because I feel like I can appreciate, I can appreciate it a little bit more.

I mean, while it was predictable the first time and the second time,

during my reread, there was a lot of things that I forgot and thought to myself, oh, this is really

cool. Like, this is cool that she did this or did it this way. And then also, this is having

some rose-colored glasses on. After finishing Rites of the Starling, I also feel like I needed to
