you a feel-good conversation.

We need those so much right now. So today we are kicking off things with a special interview

episode featuring drag star extraordinaire Shea Kule. She shares in her conversation with me

her groundbreaking experience as a black trans drag queen,

including her time on drag race all-stars, what she has learned along the way,

and what comes next from film and beyond.

But I knew the amazing feeling when you finally got that yes.

So every time that they told me no, I was like,

okay, I actually took it as a gift. And I said, okay, I believe in divine timing. Now is not my

time. And I've actually just been given the gift of another year to improve and polish myself and get more experience and make myself better.

She's among the first non-binary actors and the first drag artist to enter the Marvel

Cinematic Universe with her breakout performance as Slug and the widely acclaimed

show, Ironheart.

In addition to winning Rupal's Drag Race All-Stars Season 5, Shea has also collaborated with legacy

fashion houses like Valentino and headlined, sold-out international tours. Shea, thank you so much for joining me. Oh, thank you so much, Amara. I'm so excited to be here. So excited, and we've been chasing after you for years. So I was so happy. I mean, girl, I'm finally sitting down for a moment. I'm back at home in Chicago. I was talking to a friend, and they like, oh, like, how was your weekend? Tell me, like, what was the most interesting thing you did? And I was like, I steam mopped my floors and it felt so good. Listen, you know, the thing about cleaning is that like, you feel a sense of accomplishment after you've done it, right? So when you've like, you know, done anything, you're like, you know that the effort shows, right?
