You know, I've often said this about children, but I think it goes with kids too, that when

you turn your kids over to somebody else, be it a teacher, like an authority figure,

that's the most precious thing in your life right there.

So when that is betrayed, to me, that's unforgivable.

I'm conflicted on how to handle a situation that happened last weekend and need your advice.

A friend of mine went out of town with her husband and one year old child and asked me to

check in on their dog Saturday afternoon.

Since I work on the weekends, I said I could go on early and get out early to help them

out.

I was told they had someone coming over in the morning, so no need to rush, but I got

out early and headed straight over and what I found was infuriating.

I got there and the dog was locked in a crate that was way too small, had a huge pile of

poo on the bottom of the crate in urine in the corner.

She was standing over top of it because there was no room to lay down.

It was obvious that no one had been there that morning to let her out.

The poop was cold when I cleaned it up.

I called my friend to find out who was supposed to be there that morning, but all she could

say was she hoped the girl had come by.
